2012 X-Men Pro Pinball Machine by Stern.

It has a densely populated playfield with a high number of possible shots and different paths through the game and its characters. In particular, the table has won praise from fans for the way that the playfield action syncs with the dot matrix display and the special effects.

This superb example is currently under restoration and will soon be finished, X-Men Pro Pinball Machine.

The Stern Pinball The Uncanny X-Men Pro pinball machine consists of:

• An exclusive theme designed by pinball veteran Zombie Yeti, featuring the characters from The Uncanny X-Men versus the antagonists;
• An LCD screen on the pediment to see the new animated sequences featuring the characters;
• A soundtrack with varied musical styles composed by drummer and composer Charlie Benante, known for his participation in the bands Anthrax and Pantera;
• A mini-wizard mode that activates several times per game, three multiball modes and eight X-Men vs. Super-Villains story modes;
• Two main beaters, one mini beater, six balls and a multi-function action button;
• The Insider Connected feature with a QR code to save your progress, view the global ranking, complete missions to obtain trophies and much more;
• A bash toy sculpted in the shape of a Sentinel’s head with light-up eyes and, most importantly, a jaw with two positions (open and closed) to allow you to reach the target inside;
• A fixed target with a vial representing the “Fauve Laboratory” which, once hit, triggers a jumping target of variable height depending on the power of the shot;
• A “Midtown” wireframe ramp, a “Downtown” ramp with two turns, an “Uptown” wireframe ramp with a wireframe return, an “X-Mansion” wireframe ramp with a return to the “Danger Room” area, and a “Highway” wireframe ramp with a diverter to change the ball’s trajectory;
• Two pop bumpers, a “Kitty Pride” and “X-Jet” precision shot;
• A mechanism to capture the marble and hold it near the X-Men’s computer, Cerebro;
• A magnet under the surface of the board that simulates Magneto’s power and manipulates your ball;
• A mini “Danger Room” board with its flipper and spinner in the upper left corner.
